The goal of Nicholson Baptist Church is to glorify God through the teaching and preaching of the Gospel through witnessing, worshipping, and joyful fellowship together.
We would be honored to have you visit with us! Please join us for worship and fellowship. We have something for everyone, from infants to seniors and everyone in between!
Nicholson Baptist Church has been serving the community since 1909, and our current facility was erected in 2003. We are a one of 75 member churches of the SAREPTA Association of the Georgia Baptist Convention and would love to have you join us for worship and fellowship.

Derrick has lived in the Commerce area all is life. He attended Benton Elementary and graduate of
Jackson County Comprehensive High School. He enjoys serving God and his community.
He has been a Commerce Volunteer Fireman for 23 years.
I married my beautiful wife Kelsey, in 2006. She is the best gift God ever gave me apart from my salvation. God blessed us with 2 children, Matthew and Meghan. Kelsey is a corporate receptionist with JEMCO. We are all blessed with a great family and good health!
I have been in the music ministry for 20+ years serving in several surrounding church’s.
Favorite Bible Verse: Romans 8:28 " And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

I grew up in Nicholson and my husband
Billy and I moved to Jefferson several years ago. God blessed us with two wonderful sons. Kevin who we were blessed to have for 24 years and Rodney who is married to Crystal and they have two sons Mason & Jackson. My favorite things to do are (keeping my sweet grandsons) and spending time with my family. God is doing exciting things at Nicholson Baptist Church and I am thankful to be here and serving Him.
